Kapa haka 2021

 Kapa haka what a day to be singing at the top of our lungs. At the start we sang utaina was not my fav but it's still a good song. Anyway when we sang I                      was pretty amazing but one we got to -hike muku he e hike ragni rugna e- and voices crack... Wait there was no voice crack and I was happy and surprised. When we finished the song I was ready for the next song.

Next was ka waiata. I gotta say I love this song so much because in so calm and there are just no actions. That's why I feel like it's so easy to learn the words step by step. My fav part was -heine e whakai whaka mea te mai te whare tangata, tangata- and my other favorite part was -ko te whaea ko te whaea ko te ao ko te ao-.

Then Klara started with -poi kaemo-. The song was Rona E. This was the song that I loved to do the actions. Because the haka part was close. This is the song that I think is a real deal to me that's why I like doing the actions. We did the song fluently and strong. The part that I liked was the takahia. The timing was great and kinda satisfying. 

The next song was arara kapanapana. I bet all boys loved this part. -kahaire kahaire taku po hiti keatai tha ka raro hoki mai hoki mai taku tea nana- I gotta say all the boy probably got ready for this final stretch until the haka.

Then it all went quiet then in just a second he (Max) yelled out kaemo, and then we replied with hi! This is when you get to the real deal. Then max yelled out -taringa whakarongo titi temai keo-. Then we replied with -hi aoe aoe aoe whe ha hi-. I was so excited at this point I didn't know what to do for like three seconds. Anyway once we finished Max said hura hia, so we all turned left and walked sideways to the back and Zoe would yell out. -kue e taiki e-.

Now this is what you call a good song. This was my fav song out of all of the songs in kapa haka. There not that much to say but my favorite parts were the end haka, -Te mana moa tu hake te tangi a te manu e-.  Thank you koka Jo for teaching us the kupu and acionts, thank you koka Sue for being our guitarist and the videogharther the videoing it. The end.

 The life of a victoria crowned pigeon

The victoria crowned pigeon is rare to find even though there is 20,000 in the world. They live mostly in the northern hemisphere of new guinea surrounding the island on low land.

diet.

The victoria crowned pigeon eats seeds, figs, insects, and berries. The food for the pigeon can be found on the ground or in a bush. It’s crazy how some don't eat worms.

How they age

They start of like a bird with a hedgehog feathers. Once they get a bit older they start to get a mask around there eyes and get fluffy fluffs on their head . Once they are full grown they will be big and round and have a peacock mohawk. Did you know that the victoria crowned pigeon is the biggest pigeon in the world.

Colours they can be.

Most victoria crowned pigeons are navy blue but if you’re lucky you might be able to find a grey one. The chance of finding a grey grop of the is 0.009.31 % which is almost impossible to find. Anyway aout the basic ones there are around 19,730 are blue and 270 are grey.

For me to wrap it up, I think that victoria crowned pigeon are cool and chugus and I wish I could see one IRL and have one as a pet.

 

Green Team performance at ilminster

 Today we went to the green team play at Ilminster. At the start I saw my sister's friend from camping. Her name was Ashley.

 Anyway at the start of the play Nanny Koura told her moko about the alien invasion. At the start there were four kids that were eating lollies and then left it on the ground of the skate bowl. Then the morons and the robot from the trash planet that came to earth and they did dances to represent that it's good to litter but really it's not. 

After all that the robot got " used " already somehow, so he got left on earth. Next the kids arrive at the so-called rubbish dump from all of the morons rubbish. and they try to lift the electric rubbish of the ground but it would just shock them. until the guy in the tea cozy saw that the sheet of metal was moving and saw a robot.

After the robot was found they asked the robot why all of this stuff was in their skate bowl. Then they find out why it's all on earth because they have labels that say single uses. So next they tell the robot to call up his leader and them to come back to earth. When they come to earth the kids ask why they are rubbishing our planet.

But they refuse to tidy up so they leave. Then the kids ask nanny koura for help so the robot calls up the leader to come back again. When they came again they thought that nanny koura was the long lost king so they tidied up and scammed. THE END

I think that the play was cool because first my friend Ashley was in it and it was creative and I give it a 10/10. 

EL3 SpaG ( word clouds )

 Yesterday in EL3 SpaG our group was learning about high modality words. At the start we were talking about some persuasive language features. 

  Next we listened to this remix of head and  heart but it was called modal verbs. The song is really cringey but it has a good beat to it.

If you were wondering what high modality words are, words that are demanding and it means it gonna happen no matter what you do, here's some words the  are high modality must, certainly, always, will, And many more.

Koka Pip said for us to go on the word clouds which she put a link to on the slide on the hub. I could only think of twelth words in my head. But that's all folks.

Page 12 Bok Choy

 This all started with Jacob was stacking some wood and ah sum the the, chinaman came up and offered some Bok choy for abit of money and they bought some and then Mrs Bishop said " I don't know how you eat that muck". Jacob went Past william beating down the carpet and asked him what he was doing and William replied with "hated that bok choy". Then jacob said he's going fishing. When he was fishing the river pulled him it and the cold water squeezed his lungs tight. He went to the nearest rock but failed to get on.

Then he woke up in Ah sum's hut, Where he was sitting next to the burning fire all wet from getting in the river and saving Jacob.  When Jacob woke up Ah sum said " you need rest". Jacob looked at the painting and ask who they were and he replied with ancestors. Another man came in and his name was Ah ling and he is going to tell Jacobs mother that he is with Ah sum.

When Jacob's mother got to Ah sum's hut Jacob told her everything that happened when he fell in the river. Then his mother wanted to thank Ah sum for saving jacob so in return she gave him money but Ah sum didn't want  the money. The mother said to Jacob let get home to bed. Jacob's mother and william's mother Mrs Bishop were they were talking about Ah sum but Mrs Bishop didn't like the bok choy and she said " I hope you're not cooking that foul cabbage tonight. Then his mother said" lets get home to bed".                                  

solve fraction of a whole number questions L3 number

Yesterday our level three group for number we have been learning about how to do out fractions like 1/6,1/8,1/4 and 1/2. When you do it you get your main number and then you get the denomerator and divide the main number by the denomerator and get the answer and multiply the numerator with the answer and you will get the final answer.

lockdown leaning

 This week I have been learning my fractions like this.  At level three leaning

We saw how much fractions we could that all make up to 1 hole. I did about 3 or 4 fractions that equal 1 hole they were hard to figure out but once you knew some it was way easier that it looked. This picture was one of the fractions that I did.

The one on the left is 1/8 x 8 = one hole. The easiest were 4 quarters of 1/4  and two quarters and three 1/6. It was fairly simple you can probably learn them to.

L3 number

 yesterday at L3 we did fractions like 1/2 1/3 1/4. We had to solve ten questions and show how we solved them. I didn't know that we had to do the we dos so I did the practice it colome with seven more. The questions were quite easy but I think there was one that got me kinda confused.

Once I had finished it We started to wait for the rest of the people to finish. Five minutes go past and the teacher say to put our pens down even if you haven't finished. So most people put there pen down but other did not because they were to carried a way and so the teacher had to say it twice to listens up.

Once then teacher told us to say the answer to the first second third and so on and so on. Once we got to the last question It was 11:30. Koka rozie said we were gonna talk about next weeks learning but since some people left we could not so we stopped and I left the meeting.

Lockdown

 Covid has came again back to NZ. This means that there is school online and staying at home. "This will be fun" I say in excitement. When I woke up we watched 1 Breakfast and we found out that we have lockdown for one week. At 11:00 AM we walk George to the mail boxes and back. After we had lunch an for lunch we had toasties. After that me and India had a relax.

The next day we got up and same like before we walked him to the mali boxes and back. After we got home we had toast for lunch and it was good. At around 1:00 PM me my sister,dad and mum went for a bike ride up winifred lynsar and stop to get a view. While we were waiting mum went all the way up the hill and once she came back we went back home.

On a monday morning we had online learning at 9:30 AM for a hui about what we are doing for the week and how to get on to it. When it was 1:14 PM I forgot about my L3 number so I quickly got on and did my math. When we did it, It took me about five mins to finish, But in the end I was done for the day.

M.M.M math Clue 6

 Today for L3 murder mystery math was clue number six and we had to find out where the diamonds and we found them in the cistern of a toilet. This is we solved the riddle to the numbers on the sheet.

olympic booklet

 On Monday MLH got olympic booklets to fill in because of the 2020 tokyo olympics. On the first page was the mascot for paralympics and the olympics. You had to make your own mascot and name the mascots. I drew my own mascot and named him olympy in japanese it is オリンピー.

On the other side we had to put the info below the question. There were 24 question fact file. to answer it was like hard to pick the first one so I went top to bottom.

acople pages in iI have to draw anime, kpop, manga and kawaii stuff. The first draw i do is the anime. I did a car from initial D called ae86 apex twin cab. if your wondering what car it is a toyota.

For the next i did kawaii. For it I searched up kawaii and realized that it means cute, So I drew a bunch of cute things like a bear, boba and a avocado. After was manga its just anime but in black and white.

The weekend

 On the weekend me and my dad went to the arcade and played Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune car game. for my car I had a r32 gt-r with 600 HP, but that's more in to my writing so, Me and my dad first had a race and I had a white Toyota supra mk4. My dad had a gun matte black R34 GT-R. When we raced on c1 track I beated him every round. 

Then A man came And played it, We race him but he but be would wait for a minute and come but beat us. Then I looked at his mazda rx-7 a realized that it 720 HP. After the race He gave me a 600 HP R32 GT-R.

I went on story mode to get more HP. It took me like 30 mins just to level up, But I got there in the end.

L3 Strand Oranges

 For the last few weeks we have been learning about oranges and how much pips and juice were in an orange. Two days ago we did a google drawing of volume, mass, capacity and weight.

Being sick

 On a Monday morning I lay in moenga with the most croakyist cough I've ever had. I woke up at like 8:00am with a blocked out nose waiting until I can hop out of bed because once they're gone, Ka oho ahau (I woke up) at that time when I'm sick. But I woke up like way earlier than usual.

I finally get out of bed and go get breakfast (cocopops) and I didn't have that much because my puku was feeling really Mamae ana. After I played mahi minecraft for five minutes. Then I played with and feed George our kūao, he always likes to bite my thumb and that's how I got a big rakuraku.

The time is 1:00 and it's time when I have lunch, for lunch I have two mandarins and a marmite sandwich. After I played with our kūao for a long time like 20 minutes. then India came home.

Getting a new puppy!

On friday me dad and India went to the vet to pick up our new puppy George. When we got him he was only like sevenish weeks old. he was soo cute and fluffy.

Quick question did you know that they don't have fur? They actually have wool just like a sheep. His breed is a Cavoodle witch is a king charles and a poodle combined. 

When he went in the car he was on India's lap with the windows down. When we got home he was so happy but sad because he had three brothers. but he was happy roaming around the house. we got him a bed for him to sleep in, and he fell asleep the end.

 

.L.T.P.

 LTP is a fun thing we when I mean we I mean the hole of the moana cinderkit . LTP stands for Learning Through Play. The stations that we go to are knitting peout side flacks making and I went to knitting a hard skill that I don't know how to do. But when I went there i asked anybody if they knew how to sew stuff together. 

Sewing at first was hard until it go to putting the sew through needle. I sweated so much until I ask for help from someone. I tried to make a bandana that I wanted to fit on me but it turn out like a tablecloth. 

The next day I went to knitting and got a piece of my bandana and started try to sew an wristband and it can out amazing. but there was only like 2 mins left so I ripped it apart and clean up all the things on the floor and that was the bell for the end of the day and I went home.

30 minute kawa of care

 yesterday We had 30 minutes to design a poster on canva or google drawings. Me and Keylaine did the big think: 2 how to carry your chromebook around in class.
